Westminster Communities of Florida has named Mr. Terence (Terry) Rogers as its new CEO, effective April 20, 2020. Terry succeeds Roger Stevens, who will retire in April, 2020. In a message to business partners, Roger said, “I am confident that Westminster has a bright future ahead under Terry’s leadership and trust that you will give Terry the same support you have given me over the years.” For the past four years Terry has served as the President and CEO of Christian Living Communities and Cappella Living Solutions, a growing, multi-site senior living and healthcare organization based in Englewood, Colo., near Denver. Christian Living Communities has continuing care retirement communities, affordable housing, home care, adult day care, assisted living, memory care and independent living communities. They also have a Medicare Advantage plan and a third party consulting and management company. Prior to that, Terry was the President and CEO for 16 years of St. Martin’s in the Pines, a large retirement community in Birmingham, Ala., providing independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, managed care, home and community based care, and supported affordable housing. Terry is a graduate of University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Financial Management, is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences, and is very active in the communities in which he has lived. He and his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Phillips Rogers, have two grown sons, Josh and Logan. Elizabeth is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and is an emergency room physician. They will be moving to Central Florida as soon as practicable. Roger announced his plans for retirement in July 2019. He has served Westminster Communities of Florida since 1995, first as chief operating officer and then as chief executive officer since 2011. Roger was elected to PAHSA's Board of Directors in 2014 currently serves as the association's treasurer. Congratulations and welcome Terry to his new role and to PAHSA.
