With experience and expertice, Ayana is devoted to helping organizations fulfill their mission with integrity and strategy. She facilitates in-person experiences and webinars across industries nationwide, consults with executive teams to help navigate critical conversations, and assists C-suites in cultivating the diverse, inclusive and innovative teams of tomorrow. An advocate for older adults and a champion for equity, Ayana works diligently to help end racism, ageism and other threats to humankind through engaging workshops and collaborative partnerships. She is a current board member of the Senior Alliance (AAA, southeastern Michigan), and a proud graduate of the University of Michigan.

Being welcoming is much more than being friendly, tolerant, or peaceful. It means having intentional, inclusive policies, practices, and norms that enable all who live and work with our organizations to thrive and contribute fully. But what does it mean to aspire to foster and lead a welcoming community? How do we engage residents, customers and employees in an authentic manner in which uniqueness is valued, respected, and supported? What obstacles and barriers need to be dismantled to make way?

Anchored in faith, grounded in scripture and driven by mission, conference participants will lift up our shared values, heritage and leadership strengths, and uncover hidden biases as we aspire together to be truly welcoming. Together we aim to renew our common commitment to mission and faith-based culture, strengthen and refresh leaders and learn from forward-thinking ideas.

Senior executive leaders, board members, community site leaders — this conference is for you. Come stretch your mind and rejuvenate your spirit with your colleagues in ministry to older adults.

Join us for a quarterly virtual gathering of senior living fundraisers to network, share ideas and resources and offer mutual support. Each forum is faciliated by a participating colleague and the hot topics and questions are generated by participants. It's your group!

Participation is free but please register so we know who is planning to attend. Your email confirmation will include a zoom link for this meeting.

Can't make this one? The Fundraisers' Forum is held in May, August and November on the fourth Thursday at 2 p.m. (ET).
