Meet our consultants in residence:

Cedrich Richner, CFRE

PAHSA is delighted to welcome back Cedric, who served as the Summit Consultant in Residence in 2014 and 2016. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience, Cedric counsels nonprofit organizations to reach their fund development programming and overall strategic goals. He has deep expertise in prospective major donor strategy and building sustainable fundraising cultures, especially in the faith-based senior living sector, including PAHSA member organizations. Cedric currently serves as an active member of The Giving Institute executive committee and board of directors.

Irina Thompson, CFRE
Consultant, Marts&Lundy
With nearly 15 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, Irina excels at helping institutions grow their development programs, enhance cross-departmental collaboration and community engagement, and ultimately activate their missions. Irina oversees the aging services team within Marts&Lundy's Healthcare Practice. She is the editor of the Philanthropy in Aging Services 2023 Study.

Spend an hour with your colleagues to share experiences and resources unique to ministry in a senior living context. This virtual gathering of senior living chaplains, campus pastors and spiritual care providers offers a time to learn together, pray together, offer mutual support and more.

Topic for this meeting:
Rituals that mark sacred moments
Rituals are a natural part of life. Some are disctictly religious but many are not. A ritual is something that we do in the same way over and over again to reinforce meaning. We may practice very personal and simple rituals - our first cup of coffee or daily prayer. We also participate with others in rituals that help bind shared moments important to the community - welcoming events, birthday celebrations, community worship and, of course, honoring the end of life. What rituals are done in your community, which of these do you lead? Bring your experiences, ideas and questions to share among your colleagues.
