In the past year, everything has changed. A pandemic, civil reckoning and more have shaken assumptions and norms to the core. With the rest of the world, PAHSA members have been forced to deal with restrictions, rapid adaptations, financial hits, human loss and an uncertain future that redefines "normal." Now senior living organizations are emerging from this challenging journey. We've endured much, learned more and leaned on faith to carry us through. As the future unfolds, how do we measure our resilience, renew our hope, find courage to lead and encourage others embrace the mission to serve God and older adults?

Join your colleagues in leadership and ministry to older adults as we explore these issues through the lens of faith and discernment. Together we aim to renew our common commitment to mission and faith-based culture, strengthen and refresh leaders and learn from forward-thinking ideas.

DePree Center for Leadership,
Fuller Theological Seminary

Tod Bolsinger, MDiv, PhD, is the Executive Director of the De Pree Center Church Leadership Institute, a Senior Fellow of the De Pree Center for Leadership, and Associate Professor of Leadership Formation at Fuller Theological Seminary. Tod was the founder of the Fuller Leadership Platform, an innovative approach to online formation and leadership development and served as a Vice President of Fuller Seminary for six years. He is the author of five books, including the Outreach Magazine Resource of the Year in pastoral leadership, Canoeing the Mountains: Christian Leadership in Uncharted Territory, Leadership for a Time of Pandemic: Practicing Resilience and most recently, Tempered Resilience: How Leaders are Formed in the Crucible of Change.

Stay right where you are and get together with your PAHSA colleagues across the nation. No travel, no hotel, no risk, no fuss! This virtual conference will be accessible via Zoom video conference and include presentations by experts and members as well as small-group breakout discussions. The agenda across three afternoons mornings will feature 60-minute sessions with breaks in between, allowing participants the flexibility to manage work and household needs throughout the day. In addition to our live online sessions, attendees will receive an e-program prior to The Summit and also be granted access to recorded sessions after the event.

Carrie Newcomer is a Grammy Award winning performer, recording artist and educator described as a “prairie mystic” by the Boston Globe and one who “asks all the right questions” by Rolling Stone. Carrie is known for her warm voice, exquisite melodies and an irreverent yet spiritual view of the world. Her story-songs get at the raw and redemptive edges of human reality. Carrie earned a regional Emmy for the PBS station WFYI special “An Evening with Carrie Newcomer.” Carrie is the 2019 recipient of the Shalem Institute Contemplative Voices Award. Recent media appearances include PBS’s Religion and Ethics and Krista Tippett’s, “On Being.” She says, “My best prayers are songs, always have been.
